This post is a transcript of the Multiverseatile Youtube video of the same name.
Welcome to Multiverseatile. My name is Jake Long, and it’s been a while since I’ve done a regular DC video, so I thought I would share my thoughts, hopes, and dreams about my favorite superhero family. No not those guys, I’m actually talking about the upcoming DC movie, Shazam: Fury of the Gods. Mostly I just want to mention three exciting things that I’m looking forward to seeing in the movie.
First thing is the concept of Billy or Shazam being part of a foster family, and now a super foster family. At the end of the first movie, the Shazam family teamed up, but in this one, I believe they’ve been working together for a couple of years. This is kind of an extra thing, but I really think it’s cool how the character of Shazam is a kid who can be a superhero. On top of that, we have Billy becoming part of this family is interesting story wise. It’s cool to see a group of people come together and form a family. Okay, so that’s a different family, but Shazam mentions them so it’s okay. Anyway, I hope to see some good interactions with all of the family members as they try to live their lives and solve super problems together.
The Second thing I am really excited for is all of the cool Greek Mythology related stuff. In the trailer, we learn that the villains are the daughters of Atlas. They claim that Shazam stole his powers from Atlas. The acronym of Shazam stands for Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, and Mercury. The ability that he gets from Atlas is Stamina. I’m not sure how they’re going to get into all of that, but I’m excited for it. And I’m even more excited that there will be mythological beasts such as a fire breathing dragon. Visually, I think this movie will deliver. And if the Wonder Woman rumors are true, that would be awesome as well, especially since she has ties to Greek Mythology as well. I guess in this world is not Greek Mythology, but anyway.
The third and final main thing that I’m excited to see are the performances themselves. I like all of the actors from the first movie. I thought they fit their roles very well, and I’m excited to see them in this movie. I’m also looking forward to the new actors like Helen Mirren, and Lucy Liu. The characters are good, but I think the actors really made them come to life.
Overall, I don’t expect the greatest superhero movie ever, and I expect it to be similar to other superhero movies (which isn’t a huge issue with me on its own), but I think it will have enough unique things going for it, and I hope it will be done well. Anyway, that’s all for me. Please hit that like button, and subscribe for more similar videos. Also, if you’d like to, check out the channel Filmspeak if you haven’t already. I just recently watched their Flash Trailer video and it was great. Although, I didn’t enjoy their comments on Spiderman No Way Home. Alright. Thanks for watching, and take care.
