Antman and the Wasp in the Multiverse Saga

Antman and the Wasp Quantumania has been receiving the worst critic reviews of any MCU movie. What does this mean for the future of Antman and the Wasp in the Multiverse Saga. Well, it probably won’t change much for his involvement in any of the upcoming projects. But what are those projects, I wonder. There will potentially be numerous great opportunities for the tiniest Avengers to show up and make a big impact.

Antman in New World Order

If Antman and the Wasp Quantumania somehow pulls through and makes a ton of money, and most of the audience loves it then I could see Marvel maybe making another Antman movie before Avengers: Secret Wars, but that is a long shot, and with all of the projects Kevin Feige has planned, another Antman movie probably wouldn’t fit in. One place that Antman would fit in though is Captain America: New World Order.

Based on reports of late, it sounds like the new Captain America movie will be basically an Avengers movie where Sam Wilson as the new Captain America will be gathering teammates to help him save the world, and I think that Antman should be one of those heroes. It seems very fitting, especially since Sam is the first Avenger that Antman interacted with, and Sam recruited him to help Captain America’s team during the Captain America: Civil War. So, it makes sense that Scott Lang would be one of the first few people that Sam Wilson reaches out to, and this time, he can make up for his past mistake, and take the Wasp with him.

With the absence of heroes like Iron Man, Black Widow, Black Panther, and the first Captain America, it would be nice to have familiar faces like Antman and the Wasp on this new Avengers team. And it will be fun to see the familiar heroes contrasted with the new heroes like Shang Chi, and She-Hulk. Hopefully, they have Hulk on the team as well. That sounds like a good team. Having Spiderman, and the Marvels in there too might be fun, but it seems like it would be better if the team is small. That’s why Antman and the Wasp fit in perfectly. Sorry, I couldn’t resist. Anyway, the focus will hopefully still be on Captain America becoming the new leader of these few Avengers, and then they can team up with more heroes down the road.

Trophy Room

One thing that, I’d like to see in Antman and the Wasp Quantumania is Kang’s trophy room full of items that he took from superheroes that he defeated in battle. I’ve heard that there is a clip where Kang mentions something along the lines of how he has killed Avengers before, and it would be daunting to see Antman follow Kang into his Trophy Room full of Avengers items like Iron Man’s mask and Captain America’s shield. If we don’t see the Trophy Room in Antman and the Wasp Quantumania, I’m sure it will show up at some point such as Avengers: Kang Dynasty.

Classic Avengers

In the comics, the original Avengers team was made up of Hank Pym as Antman, Janet Van Dyne as the Wasp, Iron Man, Hulk, and Thor. The Multiverse offers us a huge opportunity to see this original roster on the big screen as an alternate time line Avengers. There are many ways that it could have happened. Perhaps something happens to Howard Stark that pushes him to develop the Iron Man technology back then instead of his son Tony. Although, that wouldn’t be the original roster, because it is supposed to be Tony Stark as Iron Man. They really don’t have to go in depth as to how it happens, but it would be fun to see the original roster together and to see them interact with the current Avengers, and even the Avengers from the first movie.

Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars

At the very least, there’s a good chance we will see Antman and the Wasp show up in Avengers Kang Dynasty and Avengers Secret Wars, and everyone will look to them as the Kang experts since they face him in this movie. Of course, the Kang or Kangs in those movies will probably be even worse than the Kang in Antman 3, and they’ll probably have Beyonder Kang, and maybe even Dr. Doom to deal with, but that’s a topic for another time.

No matter what happens in Antman and the Wasp Quantumania, it seems likely that we will get to see the pair in other projects as well, but we can’t just look at every movie or show that comes out as a set up for something bigger. These projects need to work with the others as well as stand on their own, so, let’s hope the critics are wrong about Antman and the Wasp Quantumania.
